I keep reading articles and hearing reports of our President Barack Obama not presenting a budget since taking office. Yet I distinctly remember the Omnibus spending bill which is a budget being presented in the senate last year. I also remember it being a budget that was worked on by both democrats and republicans including John Mccain. However when brought to the floor it was filibustered by the very republicans who helped author it.
This is not the problem though, My problem is with the continuous talking about how Obama's policies destroyed our budget. If Obama has not presented a budget then we are still working under a continuation of Bush's fiscal policies If not then Obama and democrats have put forth a budget. My question is which is it? Are we still following Republican budget policies and failing miserably as we did in 2008 when the Dow Industrial fell to about $8,000 or are we operating under a Democratic budget the last 2 of which were Clinton, Carter, and Johnson Two of whom left office with surplusses the other Carter had in 4 years cut the debt in 1/2.
I am very much opposed to revisionist history. A big fan of Animal Farm (George Orwell) I am seeing an America where all are equal but some are more equal than others. Life was not perfect under any president but looking back I can safely say that during my lifetime I have seen better economies under Democrat rule than Republican. I also believe that Republicans have very good points on immigration and other issues. Until we find a president who can mix the best of both worlds we will continue to struggle.
I am awaiting the day that biased news like Fox or politico report that on 9-11 Barack Obama was at a control tower guiding the planes. Why must they blame everything on him unless it is good. The past 4 days the stock market has soared not a word praising Obama for this but when it was dropping they Blamed him at every turn.
My next blog will deal with a very important topic Abortion... Stay tuned for some sanity on this issue as I have a very big Opinion on this 1.
